On 13th August 2022, at the Factory Phnom Penh, We attended the “Waste Summit Cambodia 2022″.

The Waste Summit allows participants to take part in lively panel discussions, explore new business ideas, and demonstrate their tech, entrepreneurial, and social approaches to improving waste management in Cambodia.

The topic of this year is “The Role of Informal Sector in Solid Waste Management in Cambodia”.

The Summit is designed to bring together executives working within the German Business Group, local waste management organizations, line departments, and other relevant non-governmental organizations and communities from all sectors across the Kingdom. The aim is to create a sustainable dialogue and create a platform to enable future partnerships between problem-solvers, investors, start-ups, and other relevant actors.

There are around 500 participants at the Waste Summit 2022 which will feature a lively panel discussion on the role of the informal sector in Cambodia’s solid waste management, a movie screening, games, an art exhibition, and booth exhibits from 50 organizations such as an Eco-friendly, Zero Waste, online food delivery services that serve local and fresh snacks and a lot more organizations including Ecobatt Energy Cambodia.
