ECB – The 11th Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific

The 11th Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific (Hybrid), was held from 8th to 10th February, 2023 and co-organized by the Ministry of the Environment, Kingdom of Cambodia, Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ), and the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) of Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) / UN DESA under the theme “Integrating Circular Economy in Major Development Sectors towards Achieving Zero Waste Societies and the SDGs”. The aim of the forum is to bring together key industry stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region, who have the capacity and resources to influence and drive change toward a circular economy, and the integration of circular economy practices in major development sectors while striving to achieve zero-waste societies in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).   At the three-day forum, representatives from 39 countries in Asia and the Pacific region gathered together with members of international organizations/institutions to take a step forward towards building a waste-free society that is also aligned with sustainable development goals. They shared their experiences, studies, and practices – all supporting each other as they strive for collective progress!

Ecobatt Energy Cambodia was among the first to sign up to this exceptional event, happening in the Kingdom. Our representative traveled to the Siem Reap province to listen and observe the current trends and directions from other bodies present, but also to voice their opinion on the matter and present their current fields of activities in the 3R circular economy.
